Marty Joe Murray, Jr. is an ambitious visionary with years of professional and entrepreneurial experience. Having founded Grand Prestige, LLC in 2011; Marty continues to promote and encourage personal and professional development in those he encounters.
He published a book titled ‘Art Of The Gentleman’ which is on the shelves today. Marty was featured in Delux Magazine‘s April 2016 Emerging 30 under 30.With over eight years of experience in project management; Marty has recently become one of the youngest people in St. Louis to obtain his Project Management Professional (PMP ®) certification. He currently works as a project manager for a multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 com
Marty Murray graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. During his time on campus he held leadership positions within organizations including Undergraduate Student Government, Black Affairs Council, and the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute. During his time with the Paul Simon Institute he served as ambassador to the Institute. He was also awarded the Vince Demuzio Governmental Internship to work for Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan.
Marty has recently been admitted to one of the premier business schools in the United States. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration through the University of Missouri -Trulaske Executive MBA Program.
When it comes to philanthropy Marty is committed to several organizations. Marty currently sits on the board of directors for ALIVE, INC (Alternative to Living in Violent Environments). During the spring Marty started a program that promotes education for inner city kids. “Gloves4Grades” aims to encourage young amateur fighters, at the 12th & Park Recreation Center, to get on the honor roll at school.
On August 2, 2016, Marty Murray beat a 23 year incumbent for the 7th ward Democratic Committeeman seat. Shortly after the election Marty was elected as the Chairman of Missouri’s 78th legislative district committee. During the 2016 Democratic Party reorganization Marty was also elected to Missouri’s 1st congressional district committee vice chairmanship. Marty also serves as Committeeman representing Missouri’s 5th Senatorial District to the Missouri Democratic Party.
